Our iconic boots always stand head and shoulders above the rest. We created our signature ToughSider soles and ZipSider boot design and developed the AirZone® comfort system and Roller Sole Technology.
In collaboration with Italian sole leaders, Vibram® , we released the 561, the 545 and the 550. Considered the ultimate in safety work boots, they are prized by some of Australia’s hardest workers.
TOUGHSIDER SOLES
Inspired by 4WD mud tyres, our ToughSider® soles feature a deeper, wider tread pattern to provide greater grip and stability in tricky terrain. ToughSiders also have built-in arch support to help reduce fatigue and provide smoother mobility.
ROLLER SOLE TECHNOLOGY®
We’ve cut the fatigue! Originally engineered for high-tech sports shoes, Roller Sole was computer-designed to cater to the ‘roll’ of the foot in motion. Its uniquely shaped sole emulates a roller action when the wearer is walking, enhancing safety and comfort and making walking smoother, all adding up to reduced fatigue.
As with our AirZone Comfort System® , Roller Sole features in our TPU and Vibram® rubber soles.
AIRZONE COMFORT SYSTEM®
This multi-faceted foot comfort system traps air in the cavity of the heel, acting as a shock absorber for the feet and minimising fatigue and the detrimental impacts of repetitive heel strike. Along with other design features we incorporate in our boots, our AirZone® Comfort System puts some pep in your step and keeps your feet happy even over long shifts at work.
MEET THE MONGREL’S
INNER SOLE
Specifically designed for Mongrel Boots, the high-tech OrthoTec Air footbed features interconnected air holes that help the closed-cell polyurethane foam to circulate air throughout the boot, keeping feet cool and dry all day. It features anatomically designed arch support to promote correct foot alignment and stability, minimising fatigue. OrthoTec’s built-in AirZone Comfort System® shock absorption minimises fatigue and discomfort by combatting the impacts of repetitive heel strike. Most of our boots feature the OrthoTec Air footbed.
Going a step beyond our OrthoTec Air footbed, we introduced the OrthoTec Poron® footbed for our new line of Vibram® soled boots. We modelled it on our enormously comfortable, best-selling OrthoTec Air footbed and took it even further by inserting Poron® Performance Cushioning into the cavity of the heel. That’s a shock-absorbing product that enhances comfort and minimises fatigue. The anti-static Orthotic Poron is featured in all Mongrels with Vibram® rubber outsoles.
Built to take on whatever the day throws at you, OrthoTec Lite footbeds combine lasting comfort with breathability. The memory foam layer moulds to your foot, absorbing impact and reducing fatigue – so you stay comfortable, no matter how tough the job. Designed with a breathable, moisture-wicking structure, they help keep your feet cool and dry.
